SCRAPBOOK
Text from the Actors newsletter The Movie Log Here begins a series of articles concerning the actual filming of Lord of the Flies. The stories have been written daily by actual participates in the shooting and give as immediate impression of the art of film-making from the actors standpoint. The articles have been put in chronological order starting with the Ralph scene in the Jungle and going through the beginning of the First Scene on the Mountain Top. What A Day to Film! Last Thursday when we tried to film we accomplished the sum total of one successful shot. Every time we tried to film, the camera would be focused, the reflector alined, and then it would start to rain. Every time caused a delay. It rained every five minutes. Poor James Fregidge had to climb through the same creepers for about fifteen times until finally a successful shot was made. Also the understudies, Jeremy Willie and Nichy Hammond had quite a time. As I said before, what a day to film! Play Lewis Allen on Peter Brook
